Joey Maggiore is the executive chef, hospitality visionary and entrepreneur behind Maggiore Culinary Concepts. Chef Joey Maggiore conceptualized seven successful restaurants in Arizona and California and has plans to expand within the year. Maggiore mixes his modern Italian and hip concepts to his family’s hospitality group. Now residing in Scottsdale, Arizona, he has established, Hogs n’ Hops BBQ, Cuttlefish Ocean Kitchen, Notorious Burger, and will open his latest brunch installment, The Hash Kitchen, a creative a.m. eatery. With his business mastermind, he ventured to create his own authentic pasta line that is scheduled to launch in August. Maggiore is currently in conversation with Costco Wholesale and several local resorts to carry the product.

Growing up in New York and spending time in the kitchen with his father and accomplished culinary legend, Tomaso Maggiore, Joey Maggiore discovered his passion for food at a young age, which led him to enroll at the Scottsdale Culinary Academy. Maggiore immersed himself in the restaurant business perfecting authentic Italian dishes that were passed down from generations.

Maggiore took a risk to leave Phoenix and pursued his California dream of opening his first restaurant, Joey’s California Bistro on the San Diego coast. The primary concept led to launching Tommy V’s Steak & Chop House and Tommy V’s Urban Kitchen and Bar in Carlsbad, California with his sister and business partner, Melissa Maggiore. The comical dynamic led the duo television stardom on Food Network’s “Family Style.”

After Joey’s television debut, he embarked on a successful endeavor to bring Southern barbecue to Carlsbad. Inspired by his southern travels with a touch of California edge, he opened Joey’s Smokin’ BBQ. Within three years, Joey turned this small, quick-serve BBQ joint into a franchise of eight locations around the state with more locations to open in future.

Joey currently resides in Southern California and Scottsdale with his wife Cristina and their three children, Giuliana, Tomaso, and Melina. His favorite hobby includes traveling to Sicily every summer to visit his family’s estate on a vineyard.
